Silvestre Tandeau de Marsac is co-founder and Partner at FTMS, where he is Head of the Banking and Finance Department.

He has been practicing Banking and Finance Law as well as domestic and international disputes settlement since 1984.

With his long experience and in-depth expertise in these fields, he assists actors of the banking, finance, management, life insurance, and asset management sectors as well as Fintech and Regtech in their activities; advises them on legal, contractual and regulatory matters in France and abroad; and assists them in the settlement of their disputes through arbitration, mediation or before domestic courts.

First “Secrétaire de la Conférence” in 1987, member of the Paris Bar Council (2001-2003), member of the disciplinary panel of the Paris Bar (2008-2011), President of the Association of European Mediators (Association des Médiateurs Européens, AME) (2008-2010), co-director of the International School of Dispute Resolution (Ecole Internationale des Modes de Règlement des Différents, EIMA) of the Paris Bar, and President of the Association of Fiduciary Expert Lawyers (Association des avocats fiduciaries, AFIDU) (since 2010).

He teaches Banking and Finance Regulation and Liability of Asset Management Consultants at the University Paris II Assas, as well as Arbitration and Mediation at the Paris Bar School.

He is a regular speaker at events and conferences in Banking and Finance Law.

He is also an accredited mediator of the National Center for Attorneys Mediation (Centre national de médiation des avocats, CNMA) and a registered arbitrator with the ICC, the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, the ASA, the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Centre (Centre de médiation et d'arbitrage de Paris, CMAP) and the AFA.
