Pascale Baron holds a post-graduate diploma in general private law from the university of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a certificate of specialisation in social security and social protection law. She has specialised entirely in payroll law, compensation and employee benefits since 2003.

She advises companies and insurance professionals on devising and developing employee and executive compensation schemes (protection, pensions, employee savings). She also assists them in dispute resolution in all jurisdictions.

Pascale teaches on both university and professional training programmes.She is the author of various articles about basic and supplementary social protection schemes.

Her achievements to date include:

Successful litigation outcomes such as: The overturn of many reassessments in respect of termination benefits paid to employees aged over 55 (€6 million), and a healthcare reimbursement scheme funded by works councils (€1 million); Action to recover money paid but not due by a cooperative company (SCOP) in respect of the housing aid fund (FNAL) levy and the transport levy (€2 million); Non-equality of treatment between employees covered by the general social security regime and those covered by the local Alsace Moselle regime (Cour de Cassation ruling, 8 July 2015) Successful outcomes in advising clients on high financial impact transactions, such as: Harmonisation of social protection plans following a US group’s acquisition of part of a French group (16,000 employees concerned and involving sums of several million euros a year); Closure of a French group’s retiree healthcare plan, which led to the reversal of a provision of about €250 million; Negotiations of an agreement with the social security authorities on behalf of a CAC 40 company to secure the social security treatment of employee benefits in the form of discounts on "non-catalogue" products (amount involved: several million euros); Advising a special status company on various projects relating to social protection for its employees, whether employed on ordinary law contract or subject to special status.
