Xavier Pignaud holds a post-graduate diploma in social protection law, a masters degree in social law and a certificate of specialisation in social security and social protection law. He has specialised exclusively in payroll law, compensation and employee benefits since 2003.

He advises and assists companies in their social security and compensation strategies. He also advises insurance organisations and intermediaries on these matters and on their statutory rights.

Xavier has developed special expertise in resolving systemic risks, generally without recourse to litigation. For example:

For a leading banking group (108,000 employees), he spent a year devising a strategy that led to avoiding a reassessment of some €80 million; For an IT services group (28,000 employees), he negotiated with the authorities to end disputes that had taken up 10% of the group’s earnings for ten years; For a large retail group (80,000 employees concerned), he helped to secure an agreement on the social security treatment of an employee discount policy; For a luxury goods group (15,000 employees), he drew up a policy for selling defective goods to employees, within a secure legal framework, enabling the group to reduce inventories and preserve its brand image.

Xavier teaches on university programmes and at professional conferences (Liaisons Sociales, EFE, Argus de l’Assurance, etc.). He is the author of doctrinal articles published in various journals.

He is also an arbitrator in his fields of expertise.
