Jean-Michel Leprêtre is an M&A lawyer, based in Orrick's Paris office. His practice focuses on advising French and foreign companies, commercial and investment banks, and other state-owned or private-sector firms on commercial and corporate-related transactional and litigation work.

He also handles employment law issues arising from M&A transactions.

Jean-Michel’s wide range of experience includes mergers and acquisitions, stock exchange regulation, joint ventures, commercial contracts, directors’ liability, and the disputes arising from them.

With a multidisciplinary and high-level practice, Jean-Michel has been involved in highly publicized matters. He represents several of France’s major firms in the industrial, financial, telecommunications, transports and other services areas. He has notably an extensive knowledge of media and advertising law.

Jean-Michel has authored several published articles and regularly speaks at conferences on various topics, such as the transfer of companies, the distribution of power within the société anonyme subsequent to the passing of new economic regulations and on shareholders’ agreements.

Jean-Michel was a partner at Rambaud Martel, where he co-led the firm’s corporate, mergers & acquisitions and securities practices.
