Gleiss Lutz focuses on patent disputes in the pharmaceutical and automotive sectors, supplemented by expertise in SEP and FRAND-related issues. In addition to its presence before the UPC, which has existed since 2023, the practice has recently also handled first AI-related disputes. Practice head Matthias Sonntag's areas of expertise include medical devices and electronics, while he complements his forensic expertise with experience in licensing and technology transfer. Thomas Bopp retired at the end of 2024.
