Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow (ERG) offers longstanding expertise in supporting shipping companies in the acquisition of new vessels, the negotiation of shipbuilding contracts with shipyards as well as in cooperations with banks regarding financing structures. Nina Gräfin von Borries joined the team in November 2023 and is admitted to the bar in England and Wales; thanks to her prior in-house role at an insurer, the practice has strengthened its dispute resolution practice with marine insurance law expertise. Other key team members include Stefan Rindfleisch and Hauke ​​Rittscher, who focus on the design of fleet financing structures, while Rittscher also advises on insolvencies in the maritime sector. Carolin Schmeding is well versed in M&A transactions and restructuring measures and focuses on advising investors on the acquisition of shares in German shipping companies.
