The Miami team also has a background in bank financings, corporate and M&A, and capital markets offerings. In the international arbitration field, the office has an impressive mix of investor-state and commercial cases, where it represents a range of sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns, investors and corporates; the practice has achieved further growth in the commercial arbitration segment. The team is multi-lingual and multi-cultural, with many team members having been trained in common and civil law; the team is also noted for its advocacy skills. Americas managing partner Richard Lorenzo is a big name in international arbitration, taking lead roles in a series of recent ICSID and ICC arbitrations involving Latin American parties.
