Milbank has a long and prestigious history in Latin America projects and energy transactions. It continues to build out its presence, notably landing a significant market share of large-scale renewable energy projects in the region. The firm has worked on a multitude of renewables projects in Chile in recent years, along with a series of major water projects in Chile and across Latin America. It remains at the forefront of transport and infrastructure projects in Colombia and is a growing presence in digital infrastructure around the region. The firm is also a growing force in energy and infrastructure M&A, thanks in part to its connection to Actis, the global investment institution. Mexico is another key market for the team, along with Brazil and Peru. Jaime Ramirez has emerged as a key member of the team, notably in digital infrastructure and renewable energy projects; he is now co-head of the Latin America practice. Roland Estevez continues to make an impression in renewable energy and other infrastructure projects in Mexico, Chile and elsewhere.
