The insurance and reinsurance team at Kennedys is led by Nick Williams, who is an expert in a wide range of issues from financial institution litigation to Bermuda Form arbitration. The firm continues to advise reinsurers on issues related to the war between Russia and Ukraine, including major aviation claims. The team is also well versed in handling product-related defence and coverage litigation, cyber terrorism and cyber hacking claims, and Bermuda Form arbitration. Transactional liability claims such as warranty and indemnity claims are another focus of the practice. Nick Thomas concentrates on energy-related claims, David Chadwick is known for his expertise in political risk issues, and Patrick Foss handles a mix of energy, marine and political violence claims. Other key team members include Chris Zavos, who advises reinsurers; John Bruce, who leads the financial institution and D&O team; and Ingrid Hobbs, who specialises in advising on casualty issues. Tom Stapleton handles property, energy and construction-related matters, Tim McCaw has been active in Covid-19 cases and Carole Vernon has expertise in Bermuda Form claims. Felicity Ingram focuses on first and third-party losses.
