Mishcon de Reya LLP assists students and their families on school placements, such as special school admissions, exclusions and refusals, and on sexual misconduct, protection from bullying and home education. Additionally, the education group advises on school investigations, academic freedom of speech, gender identity, and Equality Act discrimination matters. The team is headed by Robert Lewis who works on employment matters, safeguarding, complaints, exclusions and discrimination, and is well supported by associates Michelle Chiu, Alexandra Agnew and Shulamit Aberbach. Commercial litigators Victoria Pigott and Janet Tobin and family law expert Antonia Felix are valuable members of the team. James Murray departed to Doyle Clayton in October 2023.
