Pérez Correa González's practice handles both the contentious and non-contentious aspects of bankruptcy and restructuring mandates. Team members routinely act as conciliators, trustees, mediators, receivers and liquidators in bankruptcy proceedings. As well as assisting distressed companies in the financial services, real estate, tech and healthcare sectors, the group is active in the insolvency proceedings of individuals. The team is directed by a group of four partners, comprising Fernando Pérez Correa, Zulima González, José Covarrubias and Jorge Labastida. Pérez Correa has experience acting on notable proceedings that include representing Central Hielera and Productores de Hielo in relation to the bankruptcy proceedings filed by two of their creditors. As well as handling domestic and cross-border insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, such as advising Landsteiner Scientific on the bankruptcy proceeding filed by one of its creditors, González is well-versed in the resolution of contractual and non-contractual disputes.
