Having long been one of the strongest firms in the Mexican market when it comes to transactional tax matters, Galicia Abogados S.C. now fields a top-level offering for related tax consultancy. The practice group has also developed its strength on the contentious side in recent years and now regularly assists with tax disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution; Edson Uribe being the main contact on that front. Co-leader of the tax consultancy practice Gabriela Pellón regularly leads advice on the tax aspects of major restructurings, as well as co-leading on tax transactional matters in conjunction with fellow co-leader Federico Scheffler, who regularly collaborates with the M&A, energy, capital markets and financing teams.
