April 2024 saw the former González Calvillo merge into the Spain-headquartered Pérez-Llorca, the latter inheriting a multidisciplinary team that draws together experts from a variety of practice areas to support its TMT clients. The practice group's core strength is in regulatory matters and associated administrative litigation for telecoms sector stakeholders; as such it reflects the practice of practice head Luis Mancera, whose former experience includes a five-year stint as legal and compliance VP at Televisa. Jorge Mondragón provides experienced input from a corporate and M&A perspective, while counsel Lucía Fernández is the key name for IT and data privacy law. Also at counsel level, Rafael Fuentes acts for companies in the broadcasting and technology segments as regards the analysis of regulations and concessions. Former counsel Juan Carlos Peraza and partner (and fintech specialist) Daniel Guaida left the firm in March and April 2024, respectively.
