Jivan Peiris Goonetileke and Savantha De Saram co-head the Colombo-based admiralty and shipping practice at D. L. & F. De Saram. The department offers legal advise to a highly diverse rapport of maritime and cargo-related clients, in issues ranging from vessel and cargo damage claims, maritime environmental damage, vessel loss and recovery, vessel liens, as well as various crew-related litigation involving wages and personal injuries incurred on vessels. Along with its senior partners’ expertise, the team is augmented by the experience of Sachitra Abeywardane and Nadine Puvimanasinghe, who are both highly active in the department’s most high-valued matters.
